What are the types of pumps?


Pumping station refers to a pumping system composed of mechanical and electrical equipment and supporting buildings with a pump as the core. The pump alone can not work, it needs to work with the power machine, transmission equipment, pipelines and various auxiliary, control equipment to form a complete pumping device to work. In order to ensure the normal work of mechanical and electrical equipment and management personnel, and provide a good water flow condition for the safe and efficient operation of the pump, it is also necessary to build various supporting buildings such as water pump house, water intake buildings, power transformation and distribution facilities, thus forming a water pumping station engineering hub. Water pumping station according to its different characteristics, roughly the following classification.

Classified by pump type.
1) Centrifugal water pump station: The earth water pump installed in the water pump station is a centrifugal water pump.
2) Axial flow water pump station: The earth water pump installed in the water pump station is an axial flow water pump.
3) Mixed-flow water pump station: The soil water pump installed in the water pump station is a mixed-flow water pump.

1) Water supply pumping stations: including farmland irrigation water pumping stations, industrial and mining enterprises water supply pumping stations and urban and rural domestic water supply pumping stations.
2) Drainage pump station: including farmland drainage pump station, urban drainage pump station and industrial and mining enterprise drainage pump station.
3) Water transfer pumping station: mainly refers to the inter-basin water transfer pumping station, its role is often multifaceted, such as water supply, irrigation, shipping and so on.
4) Pressurized water pump station: In the case of transporting water, oil, coal slurry, etc. in the Gen pipeline, it is necessary to pressurize along the way to meet the energy required for long-distance transportation. The water pumping station built for this purpose is generally called a pressurized water pumping station.
5) storage water pump station: thermal power plants and nuclear power plants are not allowed to work intermittently, in order to maintain the stability of the grid load, often in the electricity trough, with rich electricity pumped storage, to be used for power generation at the peak. Such pumping stations are called storage pumping stations or pumped storage power stations.

Classified by power.
1) Electric water pump station: a water pump station powered by an electric motor.
2) Motor pump station: a water pump station powered by an internal combustion engine.
3) Water pump station: water pump station with water turbine as power machine.
4) Wind water pump station: water pump station with windmill as power machine.
5) Solar water pumping station: water pumping station powered by solar energy.
